There is pleasure in the pathless woods, there is rapture in the lonely shore, there is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea, and music in its roar; I love not Man the less, but Nature more.- Lord Byron
Starting to notice the slight chill of autumn in the air knowing winter will come soon, our inspiration for our styled shoot was to set out a scene that would enchant and feel warm and safe going “into the wild woods”.
On the day of the shoot the weather was amazing until out of nowhere we were reminded that we are in Gauteng with a thunderstorm that could ruin the entire shoot and the amazing furniture sponsored by Earthbound Interiors. Fortunately, we came prepared and had bubble-wrap to cover everything. Mia from La Mia Foto was just amazing and did not stop shooting, our models were brave and we could push through the storm. “Which made everything amazing… by the way”
Our aim was to make this look easy to recreate and we chose models that could be the girl next door to make the entire shoot seem reachable for any bride. Warm winter blankets and rugs scattered the forest floor and our beautiful bride and her flower girl danced through the most magical thunderstorm under the Gauteng sky. This shoot produced a feast for the eyes from start to finish.
